Default ricks emblems

Looks like ricks isn't doing the grand prix white S anymore. Hoping to pick up the design to get made for myself. Asked if they would accept a group buy. Waiting on email back. Anyone got used ones or new that they didn't put on their car?

Wish I had bought silverstone...

Well, here is the latest info. Time to do some searching on the last GB that there was for the badges. Any of the fellow GPW S's up for the GB for the white badges with the black S?

(Email from Rick below)

Ryan,

We did our last run for a group buy of owners of white cars who committed to
buy the badges. We'd be happy to do that again if owners of white cars
organize a group buy. We'll even knock $5.00 off the price for anyone who
joins the GB.

Rick

So anyone interested in a group buy. Im going to email him and find out if it is required to be one specific color, or if it can be multiple colors.

Roughly 3% of the S2000's delivered to the United States were Grand Prix White. What this means is you are at best reaching 30 people in the PacNW. This is one of the few times you might have to go with a audience larger than the local forum.

Thank you for the statistic Jerry. Yeah, kinda on my own it feels.

I tried looking for a forum dealing with strictly group buys, but couldn't find it.

Still waiting on further information from Rick. But if possible, where would be the best place to post a group buy for something for the future.

Regrettably, there used to be a sub-forum for putting together group buys. Over time, the vendors got wise and proactively setup the group buys. Eventually this became too much administrative headache.

You may get lucky starting a thread in the "Want to Buy" forum. Someone may have a set of White Rick's badges sitting around the home garage. The odds are low, but it doesn't cost anything to start a thread.

If all else fails, start a thread explaining the situation and looking for posters in "S2000 Talk." With sufficient interest Rick should relent and start taking pre-orders and call out how many slots he needs before he will put an order in with his manufacturer.

In fact, this is the old school method of putting together a group buy. Let me know if another admin nukes the thread. I should be able to escalate or negotiate a better process if this is viewed a problem.

I deal with this company for other logos and such at work. Nice people to work with and they can do holographic letters as well.

Sometimes if you haggle with them they can do some small runs. Right now I think you could get away with a few logos if you did a group buy. Or any other custom logo for that matter. Just draw it up and away you go. If you need some help setting it all up just shoot me a pm on the matter and I am more than happy to help.
