I have some wireless ones for my house which are viewable via online... cheap and easy, and they do the job relatively well for monitoring while i'm at work or perhaps upstairs...just an option

Are they 2.4ghz? I'm afraid of interference with my wi-fi and phones.

2.4ghz phones will provide enough interferance with your wireless network that you are pretty much screwed to begin with. I'd chuck the phones and do your best to rid your neighborhood of the scourge if you care about bandwidth. Did you know that most microwave ovens will knock out wireless in their immediate vicinity when they are active?

Switching to 5.8ghz phones or purchasing 802.11a capable access points will improve your situation.

I am considering getting some cameras too. I don't want to spend much though so I was thinking of just using a PC with a mutli-input capture card, rather then buying a stand alone DVR.
