Still not sure of the replacement. Can't believe that for $40k-$45k you can't even get close to a used M5 that appears to have been taken care of....

I thought you were shopping for bikes??? Go sit on/ride (if they will let you) an Aprilia RSV Mille to humor me. Not the $30K version with the Ohlins suspension and fancy wheel package that is over-rated, but the $12K one that is the same, less fancy wheels and suspension. The average rider will not know the difference... Everything else about the bike is identical (same 60 degree V-twin, same frame, body work etc.)

It almost sounds to me like you are sick of your S and looking for something different. I had the cash for an RSV and was ready to drop the money until a reality check put me back on 4 wheels spending 4X the money for an S. Good move, bad move? I dunno. Obviously you and I are the same in loving fun toys.

Still just look at an Aprilia....... If you put a 996 Duc. and an Aprilia RSV side by side and rode both of them, there would be no question as to which you would buy. Please post your comments.
