Last episode is tomorrow. However, one of the participants on the show was on Speed driving a Pontiac in the Rolex Grand Am race on Monday. Hmmm. Gives a pretty good indication of who may have won! The reward for winning was supposed to be $100K and a test ride in a Pontiac GXP-R GT car....

Yeah, actually. And I'm not sure why. I actually don't watch hardly any TV except for Mariner games and random stuff on the History and Speed channels. Maybe because I've never watched any of these reality TV shows before, this one seems more interesting. But probably it's just because I know people who are on the show.

Nope. Never met him before, actually. Doug Chase built the roll bar and did the seat/harness install in my car.

Doh! First losers.

Exciting finish, though. The party at Bison Creek was lots of fun.

Did they talk at all about the bogus full-course yellow which allowed Jeremy to get back into it after smoking and spinning off course?

No. But it got a lot of groans from the crowd at Bison Creek. They did talk about a lot of other stuff, but not that in particular.

In a real road race, that would have resulted in a short local yellow that would have been withdrawn as soon as he re-entered the track. And he would have been way behind. But this was a TV reality show, not a real road race. Previously other drivers in the show have benefitted from questionable full course yellows.

Something they mentioned was that their car's frame was actually tweaked, but they were keeping it very quiet because it might have disqualified them from the race. Ron said the tweak to the frame made it turn better in the lefthanders and worse in the righthanders, which was probably part of the reason he was faster in the tight twisty downhill section but slower in the big uphill sweeper.
