If this is a street driven car, then the stock dampers should be fine.

Stock shocks work ok for a wile, the rear is already under dampened on the S though and gets more pronounced with the firmer springs, and of course the more miles you put on them.

The Koni Yellows are a popular damper option which I believe offer you a 4 way damping adjustment, stock height and 1/2 lower perch for additional lowering. I think you will appreciate the damping adjustment for tuning with your aftermarket springs.

They do get noticeable under dampened by then, rebound specifically) stiffer springs also exaggerate that condition. At 70k, I’d consider saving yourself the hassle and just do the damper change along with your springs now.

The koni's as I mentioned. If you cant afford those right now, then you will have to run your stockers. Nothing cheaper available that will actually give you an improvement in ride with your springs.

Underdamped according to who?

I don't know what you mean by 4-way adjustable, but you can adjust rebound. Compression is fixed. Rebound is "infinitely" adjustable within the range of the shock, meaning you don't have set levels of rebound that you adjust to.

I'd agree with Jerry on this one, stick with stock stuff. If the ride becomes too bouncy for you, then think about upgrading shocks. You shouldn't need to though, save your money.

If you have put any great length of miles on your car I think you would agree. But you haven't apparently. Just about everyone knows the rear shocks on these get bouncy(not enough rebound) 70k is getting up there in my experience, you throw on some stiffer shorter springs that ride lower in the stroke and they wear out quicker. The koni's offer 4 way (4 clicks) of damping adjustment if I remember correctly. But that I don't know for sure becuase I'm not a koni guy, I run coilovers. OP can check that out for himself if its a selling point. But If they are like any other adjustable damper with a single adjuster, compression is also effected. Koni's have a good rep, give you some adjustment and are the natural affordable solution when running lowering springs. If the OP feels he doesn't need them, then he doesn't need them, but at least now he has a basis to understand why and make a more informed decision. To say he simply wont need them, is an opinion without any explanation or bases for, wheres the value in that... since we seem to be knocking heads here
