Default SNOW!

Stayed home from work today, I thought I might go in later, but it was still snowing at 10AM.

Just for grins and giggles, I took the car out in my neighborhood. Holy smokes, this thing on relatively new (probably 80% tread left) PSS tires is the *worst* car I've ever driven in snow. We have about an inch out in Carnation. It only takes about 10% throttle to break the tires loose.

Good thinkin', I did the same thing last night a little bit after 3AM while the snow was still minimal. I wouldn't want to take the S out at the moment with my ZII's though, it was really easy to break traction with little snow on the ground. It's staying in the garage until the snow is gone now.

2 words: Summer tires

But seriously, its amazing how crappy they are for freezing temperatures even with no snow on the ground.

Yup, mine is staying in the garage since I have star specs on. But it sure would be fun to drift it around a bit....

The S is one of the worst cars you can drive in adverse conditions, like most higher performing dedicated RWD sport cars, which is why I also own one of these for such fun occasions

My wife is a teacher. She drives a 330xi. When school is *cancelled*, I just take her car to work. When it's only 2 hours delayed start like today, I stay home.

So all of that money you spent at your house on that fancy truck got spent at our house on bourbon for me to drink when I'm home from work.
