Red face Snow Flake Special II - 27 Jan

We're meeting at Juanita beach Park, in Kirkland. I'm not 100% certain on where we'll be lunching, but I'll try to have that info by the 5th. Much of the route is done, I just need to figure out how long it'll take us to cover this route, and make some adjustments to keep it to the usual 3-4 hours of driving time we enjoy every month. Again, I hope to have final details by the 5th.

We had more than 25 cars show up for this event last year, and had a blast. Invite your friends, neighbors, and other forums. Let's push that number higher for 2008.

Full Details and event registration at The-Winding-Road.com

If you want a Route Map, please register at The-Winding-Road.com. For those with GPS, I include way points that SHOULD trick your unit into following our route.

I don't get it... you ask for $15 per car, to cover your organizing of the event, and printing of route maps.

These maps must be printed on some space age materials.....

no, not space age material. it's printed on this thing called "paper".

are you bored? cuz' you should come out on the drives, they're allota' fun! cars other than s2k's are out there.

by the way, the maps are very descriptive in detail, and it helps.

How can he seriously justify 15$ for a printed piece of paper though???

This better at least include lunch.

come out on the drive, complain about your $15 piece of paper.

if you're not happy with the routes or you don't enjoy the scenic drive, or the company of others out for a day drive, then leave.

and the lunch is included if you bring it.

Its also not just a piece of paper. On one drive he put together last year it was a color coded, graphic booklet with turn by turn directions. It was truly impressive. And organizing drives can be a real PITA. Kris organizes some sweet drives and the people that show are all willing to drive fast (I think a radar detector is a pre-requisite).

$15 ain't bad, if you can afford a sports car you can afford $15 to have someone else do all the foot work for your good time.

Hey guys, I know, for a group drive, $15 is more than the completely free and usually unorganized drives that we've all been doing since we got our first sports cars. That's why only ask for the contribution if you've been on a drive with us before. I spend, at a minimum, 40 hours planning a drive, and usually pre-run the route to make sure it's clear, the roads are open, and it'll be as entertaining as I can make it. Of course, if you've been on any of our more recent drives, you know this. And if you haven't, I'm not asking for anything in return. Just sign up at the-winding-road so you get route map.

Thanks for the support rice_classic and himike.

Kristopher_d - I didn't mean to rain or your parade. I was just looking for some explanation, and you guys have done well to shed some light on it.

Thanks to all. If I come out, I'll bring my $15.
