Weird... I posted in responds a couple days ago, but it didn't "take".

Awesome day! We got 4 x 20 to 25 minute sessions. All groups were busy, but those in the advanced group gave ready point by's. There were a few faster cars than the poor little Subaru: A Honda NSX , a race prepped Porsche, a Z06. The subbie was able to reel in M3's, street Porsches, a C5 Coupe, an SVT Mustang Cobra and a bunch of Alfas.

Plenty of "offs". A Viper spun to the outside of the turn 8 exit... miraculously missing a timing transmitter and the jersey barrier. A 1.6l turbo Miata went off in turn 5b/6 on a warm up lap. Hit the tire wall with minor damage to fender, bumper & door. He flies through 5a & 5b! An M3 also had some bent sheet metal along the right side. Door, fender.

With all the traffic, I don't think I bested my best time at Pacific which is in the 1:41's if I recall correctly. I had one good session of transponder times. I'll try to get the rest off of tape.

Anyway, it was the ideal weekday track day: do a 1/2 day of work, then cruise to the track for some evening lapping.

Marek needs more power. He is faster in the corners, but was 9 to 10 secs back due to lack of HP/Torque.

Hopefully, I'll be taking the Miata next time!

did you see a red Civic Hatch with no interior? that was my buddy. He said it was a blast because there were so many runs.

It was on the Alfa track calendar.

One thing about those Alfa days is the really wild mix of cars.

I printed out the PR track calendar and picked days off of it to run.

Next event I'm trying to get into is the July 9 one on Saturday.

As a contractor, any weekday time off is lost income. :-(
