what's up with all the immature locals hating?

no accidents title is rebuilt from reporting the cut roof and deployed airbags to insurance. They tottaled it out, you guys are acting like $12,500 is a rip off for an s2000 that's in decent shape.

A month ago there was one with no engine selling for 10,000 on craigslist and currently there is a silver one on craigslist for 13,500 that has been rear ended (and not reapired) has ripped roof and other misc damages..

 

it's called reality and reality is if your car is the same car i've seen around, it's in worse shape than richard simmons on the sex list.

turn heads, drives nice? hatin? first of all, you can't hate what ya don't want and who the fuq do you think you're talking to ? a buncha people from botswana?

 

Honestly, I just bought mine recently, and I saw yours on craigslist, thought it looked nice, but to repair the top and replace the airbags, you'd end up spending so much that you could easily get an 85k mile s2k in nice shape WITHOUT a rebuilt title for the same amount, and have way better resale down the road.

I just spent 3 months watching prices in the area, and in my opinion, you should be asking more like 8-9k.

Mind you, I have no interest in buying this car, but I HAVE to ask.

How were the airbags deployed w/o an accident, and if it wasn't dinged, why was the front resprayed?

 

apparently the airbags can deploy if you try to steal them.

 

If I remember correctly, that car with no motor was much newer, asking price and getting price are 2 very different things.

There is a serious "Chicken and Egg" problem with this picture

If the Ins Co totaled it out because of the air bags and misc air bag expenses + the roof, than the car was valued at 10k to 13k tops!!..which is in line with KBB value..

So if the car was only worth 12.5 before the airbags were stolen and the top ruined,...how can it be worth 12.5k now??


Also air bags and convt top totaling an S2000 sounds highly unlikely.


But good luck getting your price...who knows what can happen.
