That's a very nice E36 M. However, that same $23k could buy an AP2 with <20k miles.
well since i've done the s2000 thing, i'd take this sucka over an AP2 or AP1 S2000.

this M3 is like the only other car during s2000 ownership where i thought whoa this thing drives reallly nice. steering feels much more alive than the S2000. and nearly as flickable. very neutral. and the looks ... aging better than the AP1 s2000 i must say

(I know ray's getting a kick outta all this subjective bs outta the butthole talk )

I liked my '95 M3 for its relatively torquey motor, good level of refinement and practicality, and subtle good looks. I was not that impressed with the steering feel. The M3 does have more weight than the S2000 electric power steering system, but feedback was not amazing. Neither car is outstanding for tactile steering. IMHO, the E30 M3 and 911 Carrera 3.2 are cars I've driven that provide much better steering feedback.

seriously

the E36 M3 is one of the worst aging cars on the road.

Ever since the E46 came out the E36 changed from looking like a sports car to looking like a refrigerator

I'm sure there's better and I have not driven either of the older cars. the thing about the older cars is that i don't like the way they look. they look "too" old.

i'm gonna have to disagree with u on the steering. the E36 felt great.
