Hey Ray,

sorry I didn't make it to tacos yesterday; I hear Russ ditched Beth for you, so I guess you got a ride OK.

Yeah, I'm seriously flirting w/ the edge of darkness....... first I call her a fat fu<k (I didn't but she says I did) and now her boyfriend ditches her and turns off his phone in the heat of the street race (BTW, he's got his car tuned baby!, it hauls, even though it still sounds like a VW dune buggy)

Following the two of you back from tacos was a kick. Just like watching two little ricer boys showin' off...

David, thanks much for the info. I talked to the Speedware guys and got a pretty good feel from the conversation. Nice to hear some more serious racer types than I also use Speedware.

What kind of speeds do you see on the front straight at PR, David? I've never been to Spokane (yet), but 160, yikes!

Michael,
as far as supporting serious racers, Speedware crews and sponsors many "real" racecars, not wannabes like me
you can find them at major events with known drivers.. which is a double edged sword, as during the season that's their excuse for poor responsiveness, ie "we have to get number xx ready to go to California tomorrow.."..

as fer PR, I still call it SIR I generally don't exceed 150. I have gone thru T1 at 150 many times, but only gotten another mph or few before the BZ ahead of T2..

Spokane is a Fabulous track. I love it. it's as good as PR. it takes a while to work up to flat out from apex of T2 to BZ before T4. there are these undulating waves in the pavement, with a deceptively appearing left after a blind uphill. I have to time my 3/4 shift between "get seriously airborne" zones there. I get over 125 in the back there. I've passengered an impressive bit faster in that spot in a friends Viper. the key to real serious main straight speed is to not scrub it all off for T1, which can be taken at over 130 and trail brake T2..

see ya on track
David

Just got the alignment done. Speedware seemed very competent.

My specs now match Teds.

Things were a little screwy before, not too bad though. Feel is good, steering seems more precise.

before after
-.3, -.8 -1.0, -1.0 front camber
-.04, -.11 0.0, 0.0 front toe

-1.3, -2.0 -2.0, -2.0 rear camber
0.18, 0.17 0.12, 0.13 rear toe

Now that I've got a new and improved ride height (thanks, RT!!!) it's time for an alignment. The first guys to answer the phone - Speedware. It seems that my normal shop (TruLine) and Omni and Fordahl aren't in on Saturdays.

I think I'll go with the UK settings with maybe a touch more negative camber - Tedster... after your post I think I'll try the 1.5 F 2.5 R thing...

See you guys on Tuesday... try not to hurt my car as you guys go flying past me on the track!!!
