There's a guy selling a set of new 16" SSR Integrals with unused Yoko A032Rs for $1100 obo. I'm thinking of making an offer but I got the offset information for these wheels and I don't think they'll fit too well. Front 16x7 and rear 16x8 both have 45mm offsets. By my calculations (based on 55mm/65mm front/rear stock offsets) the outside edge of these wheels will be 16mm past stock in front and 26mm past stock in rear. The centerline will be off by 10mm front, 20mm rear. The current owner says it's not a problem with the stock size Yokos, and tire rack sells these wheels. But if I go with wider rubber, or lower the car as I'm considering doing, I gotta believe it'll rub badly.

Any of you know if there is likely to be a problem with rubing or with the increased centerline offsets effecting handling?

Any thoughts on 16" wheels in general for track/autox?

For 16" wheels i'd just run stock with Khumo slapped on. Super low cost. If you are running autocross you must maintain stock ride height and wheel specs, or you'll get bumped into the improved or prepared classes against Porche 911's and Supercharged S2000's simply because of a wheel modification. BBS Makes the JDM spec 16" six spoke S2000 wheels, which are the correct offset, size, widths, and are a few pounds light per wheel.

"Its all about the offsets"

I'd skip by those SSR's they don't have the correct fitment.

It's all aobut the offsets, baby. And the butterflies.

Please skip those wheels. Either get another set of the stock wheels or one of the few aftermarket ones with the correct offsets and a reasonable stagger between front and rear.

I haven't gotten around to posting it yet, but I'm selling my stock wheels and tires (and the SmarTire pressure/tempurature sensors/monitor) if you're interested.

Hmn. Think I'll skip the SSRs. Ya talked me out of it. I want a second set of wheels for race rubber on the track. I don't really care if they bump me out of stock autox class or not. I'll run the stock wheels/tires for autox. I'd prefer if the second set were 16" and significantly lighter than stock, but I'm a cheap bastard and not willing to pay the prices for new wheels. So maybe I'll just get a second set of stock and use that till something better comes along.

Thanks Jerry, Ted. So maybe I am interested in those wheels, Ted.

I have the SSR Integrals with S03s for the street so I really didn't care about getting the offsets correct. There are no fitment issues, but the wheels stick out a bit. I have my race tires on stock wheels and would suggest that you do the same.
