Crack is actually a classic triangular tear. Last night I only saw the vertical part, but it also has a horizontal part. Each is about 1.5 inches long. Looks like epoxy would be a good idea for reinforcing it.

Mark, what did you use?

I can't find it to give you the brand, but it's an epoxy I bought at NAPA. It comes as one applicator, with two tubes; as you squeeze the handle, stuff comes out of both tubes, which you combine with a tooth pick and apply quickly. It's not perfect, but it's much better than it was. I think of my car as just a car (sorry, Liggy), which hasn't been washed since last summer, so I don't worry too much about the fact that you can see the crack amidst the cone whack from hammering the cone at 125mph (it was in the way, after all).

So, hitting a cat at 60 is pretty much like hitting a cone at 125?

This happen to me too about six months ago...cat ran out while doing 60'ish on HW9 in Clearview. Look for it but did not find and crack my bumper on my 300zx.
