i am hoping on highway 101 near olympia and spend a night at Astoria OR. which is near Long Beach, WA. next day heading down to south part of Oregon and drive back up to Portland and spend a night there. then drive back up but stop by Mt. Rainier areas. i am going to check out most of state/national parks and forests. i just want to get away from Seattle for the weekend.
i lived in washington state for 15+ years and i never been on hwy 101 or Mt. Rainier. i think it's about time. too bad i don't have s2000 anymore.

this will pretty much be my first road trip that i will be doing all the driving, any tips with the s2000? i dont have a spare, but have been pretty lazy looking for one. ill probably just buy a fixaflat just in case. also should i be concerned about my front bumper? i drive a bb my06 and lowered on tein RAs about 1.5" maybe 2" (pretty much the lowest setting). the drive sure does suck even on the softest settings.
any tips as far as roadtripping in general? the only expirience i have with this is as a child, which then i reallly dreaded being in the car for long hours. i was born and raised in hawaii for what its worth
any help would be appreciated!
There is a thread similar to this in Oregon: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=811549

isn't tein RAs pretty stiff? i would raise it a bit and make it soft.

Some of the places have been mentioned above already but here's some of my favorite places in the PDX area:
a) Dinner at Sabura Sushi off Bybee Street in Portland, OR
b) Tillamook Cheese Factory along the Oregon coastline
c) Lincoln City if you enjoy crabbing / fishing along OR coast
d) Multnomah Falls is an easy all day hike in Portland area
e) Vista House is a great place to hang out and enjoy the sights of the Columbia River and if you go during off-peak days the road is a great drive. I took my GT3 there on a weekday and it's a blast to drive as virtually no people or tourists are there but I highly doubt it will be empty Labor Day weekend....

^^^ Nice P
Hey guys, I’m off to downtown Portland this weekend with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday, I've been there a couple times but don't know my way around too well. I was hoping some of you may know it better and have some recommendations on a somewhat classy place to go for drinks and some jazz music. I'm looking for more of a cozy place with some ambiance, rather then a loud nightclub type atmosphere. Any suggestions on some decent places to have dinner would be great too, maybe an Italian? Thanks a bunch!
