Default Visitor to Seattle question

I'm thinking of planning a trip to Seattle sometime this fall. I've heard about an "art market" sale that happens some time in October or November (I think held at the convention center). Does anyone know when exactly this takes place?

Thanks!

Mike.

I don't know about any "art market" sale, but there are enough galleries in town you should be able to find something anytime you want to come down. But you should know, the weather in October is usually MUCH nicer than the weather in November. Unless you like windstorms and rain, in which case I suggest November would be better.

Thanks for the tips! I've been to Seattle once in December (about 3 years ago) and I think I was there during a rare 5 day stretch of sunshine. Loved every minute of it so it's time to come back.

Thanks!

Mike.

Five sunny days in a row in December is not unknown, but it certainly is rare. Being from Calgary, you probably also were used to even shorter winter days than we have here.

November is on average no worse than December, but it varies more widely. Our biggest storms usually happen in November, as well as some periods of unseasonably nice weather. But October is more reliably nice.
