What do all y'all do for a living?
I'm always down for networking and with all the new S2000 owner faces dropping by, I figured this would be a good time as ever to go through a little roll-call diddy.

Current title - Graduate Technical Intern with Intel. I work with the full-chip design team in the Advanced Components Division in the Enterprise Platform Group.
I'm learning to take a full chip design, partition it off into smaller chunks which are then sent out to other teams to do wire routing and modify cell placement within those chunks. I then take the finished chunks, put them back together, and then do full chip wire routing, ensuring the entire chip is powered, and has a clock signal with equal load and signal integrity. And do any final modifications if necessary.
I am, however, a Graduate student at UW in the middle of earning my Masters in Electrical Engineering. Upon finishing my internship with Intel, I will return to UW to complete my Masters and then go job hunting again. I plan on obtaining an MBA in hopes of increasing my value to other companies... to bring in the $$$

Active Duty Military, E-5, been in the Navy almost 8 years. Currently a Communications Watch Officer (fancy name for a shift supervisor), responsible for ensuring hard copy and voice traffic is conducted smoothly between the Pacific Fleet Balistic Nuclear Submarines and Shore stations wether the submarines are at sea or in port. )
One year left in the Navy, plan to work for the Washington State Patrol in communications until I finish my degree, and then transfer to become a WSP trooper and maybe become a detective for auto thefts. No, I won't make as much money as the rest of ya, but I bet I'll have better war stories!
Oh, and I plan on being in the U.S. Naval Reserve at the end of my obligated service to keep some of the benefits.

Prior to that, I worked in telecom for about 8 years in everything from account management to process design/definition (both business and technical) and IT.
Hitachi's hiring, huh? What roles are they trying to fill at the moment? I might be interested in giving them a look...
