I have two front wheels that I have been tracking and are currently mounted with very used up S-02s. I doubt you would want to drive on that rubber on the street. I am planning to mount new S-03s to that set of wheels, but I was thinking they may have one track day left in them first. I already have the S-03s at my house.

I have two front wheels with Dunlops mounted on them. These have lots of tread, but they are not as sticky as S-02s. I would not be eager to run it with S-02s on the other corners, but if it were only on the street you might get away with it..

So if you borrowed one of my fronts, you would probably have to mount your own rubber on it. And then if I decided I wanted to put my existing old tire back on, then I would probably ask you for $25 or so to cover that.

On the other hand, if I decided to just put those S-03s on all four wheels, then I wouldn't ask for the money, since that's money I would have spent anyway.

I broke one, yes. But I'm handling the accident under insurance, so once it is replaced I'll have a full set again.

I now have three sets of OEM 16-inch wheels (none of them pristine). So what could I get for parting one of them out? I hadn't considered it, but if you really want to buy instead of borrow, I guess you could make me an offer. Since it would be breaking up a set, the offer would have to be pretty good, though.

i was hoping to come across someone that might have had an incomplete set and would be willing to sell me 1 wheel. coming across someone who has a complete set and trying to persuade them to break up the set for one wheel is ... well, like you said. you'd need a pretty good offer.

the best i would offer is $100 for 1 wheel.

Yeah, that's not enough. You are still welcome to borrow until the 28th if your temporary need is urgent.

how much were you thinking you'd want to split up your set?

i contacted Mike @ Custom Wheel Repair and he's looking into a wheel for me. I dont want to buy from a shop used/new, whatever, but if this is my only option...

My pass. side front has a few curb makes on it and
I have always wanted to replace it. I would trade it with
$$ for a good s2000 / 2000. It balances out fine for racing.
