5D or 40D?

Default 5D or 40D?

i was about to buy this 40d with bundle lens and memory card for $770 and then i found this 5D body with memory for $900 (no lens)..
which one would you guys buy?
and what is the advantage of having a full frame?

well it's my first dslr but i'm going to california and korea soon so maybe 30% portrait and rest is probably outdoor scenery/buildings..etc..and i guess little bit of everything but definitely not sports or macro...which camera has better ISO performance? i know that 5D has more detail..

If you shoot portrait and scenic photos, the 5D is for you. However, please remember, since the 5D uses a FF sensor, it does show the corners of the lens, which means you must buy the best lenses for good results. As a result, the 5D is a more expensive (although worthwhile) investment.

no questions, 5D.

resale value, megapixel, pixel density, image quality, high iso performance, all things are in 5d's favor.

af accuracy, 40D has an edge, but its not a deal breaker against 5D.

i dissent, the 40d is fine, its really a question of ff vs crop both make fine photographs.

For your first DSLR the 40d is more than up to the task. Besides you will have a little extra money for that "good" lens that you will still own when you eventually upgrade to the "better" camera.
