Default Colour Temp

Flicking through the menus on my 30d today and came across Colour Temp. Is there a 'best' setting? or something you should change depending on what your shooting?

Your manual should tell you the best temp for each scenario. Or at least recommended values.

If your not too sure about how to use it just leave it on AUTO for now and try to find some articles about color temperature and white balance

Personally I shoot in Raw. You can adjust the WB and Tint in Adobe after. I do however set the white balance value for what I shoot. Not set too Auto.

agreed. one advantage of the dslr is the raw. i would recommend doing the same too if you dont mind the extra time in post processing. takes the guess work out and you can concentrate on the shot.
