Hey, I'm looking to move on from my Rebel XS and onto a D3100. Supposedly the camera won't be here till Sept. 20, but I've been getting mixed answers as to when it's coming out. Any real date out there as to when it's being released?

While we're on the topic, care to suggest some pros/cons against the Canon T1i? Both look like solid cameras and definitely want to take advantage of the 1080p recording. The CMOS on the D3100 looks like it has good reviews also!

Most major con is changing manufacturer. You need to start all over again.

Setting it up right as I'm typing this (multitask ftw).

Former Canon user so I'm still getting used to all the settings. This was in auto for now haha...



I'd like to get up tomorrow and take pics so we'll see what happens.
