How I miss film! For that matter .. How I miss the collection of Rollei TLR's that I sold off a few years ago because the writing was on the wall and it is a bit pointless to fight the inevitable. Mostly shooting 120 chrome film, either Agfa or Fuji, and then projecting them with a 2-1/4 projector is a visual treat. I never worked too well with 35mm - always a medium format junkie. Medium format digital is seriously expensive .. Pffft
If the world wasn't in a race to change and 'improve' at a lightning fast pace there would be a few things that I would like to enjoy, such as film .. such as an Alfa Giulietta Sprint or Lancia Aurelia B20 .. But ... but .. Pffft

LF camera + drum scanner = incredable digital images.

I dearly love field and rail cameras.

I'm sure you didn't miss the photo of the 120 roll film in my opening post. I'm really hoping to put all the chemicals away for good now, but I'm not about to sell any of my gear just yet.

As for 35mm, the only film I ever really liked was Kodachrom 25. With the tiny negatives, nothing else stands up to the kind of enlargements I like to make. Sheet film is going to be the hardest thing to give up, and I have a feeling that I'll still be renting LF equipment once in a while. The low cost and ease of "processing" digital is so nice that I really want to get away from film entirely, but I keep having second thoughts.

LOL, did you have seperation anxiety?

I have a Rebel 2000 with stock lens that has seen maybe 200 shots... digital took over my life . It was expensive 4 years ago too.. like $350

Hey Red
'LOL, did you have seperation anxiety?'
Yep, sure did ... and still do!
Partly the equipment .. partly the process. I used to hope that Rollei would make a digital back for their TLR's, something simple but taking advantage of the full 6x6 image size - Yes, for me that would have been a fine compromise, but a slim chance in paradise that this would ever happen.
In my universe photography IS film and digital is information technology, yeah I know thats a pretty narrow perspective ...
