Default Filter Stuck on Lens

I have a CP filter stuck on one of my lens's and can't seem to get it off at all.

I've taken it to at least 3 camera stores but they don't have the tool to get it off, or they are closed by the time i get off work.

Does anybody have an easy solution that i might try?

Unless you can get a filter wrench? - sometimes wrapping a flat rubber (elastic) band round the filter edges will let your fingers get enough purchase to unscrew it?

I second the rubber band idea. Works great if the filter is not damaged in some way.

Rubber bands are usually enough. If that does not work, heat up the filter on the lens with a hair dryer, carefully of course. The heated metal will expand and allow you to get it off.
I always keep a fair sized rubber band in my bag just in case.

if you heat the filter, it will just be stuck on harder. You need to heat the lens barrel so the outside of the filter threads expand more than the filter itself.
