First Pictures
Hello!
I picked up a Nikon D3000 for a Christmas gift for Evan and I.
I bought a camera kit that came with the camera, a 18-55mm Nikkor VR lense and a 55mm-200mm Nikkor VR lense and lot of other little stuff.
I haven't used a SLR camera in about 5-6 years, so most of my pictures were taken in auto mode with the lense set to manual
I'm going to practice with the aperture and shutter speed next weekend, as I need to re-learn everything.
Here are a few pictures that I took over the weekend, most are taken around our home in Corbett, OR, and a few in Cascade Locks, OR and Hood River, OR.
Critiquing is welcomed!
These pics were taken at the Vista House on the Columbia River Gorge, the wind gusts were around 100mph up there!

Evan trying to protect his ears! My hat flew away while we were up there too
But I caught my glasses before they flew off

My German Shepherd, Cody

This is the first pic I've edited, just cropped it a bit and made it B&W

Very nice!!!
I like the black and white photograph of the car and of course, the one of you looking up to shoot Evan with the clouds in the background.
I'm sur eif you want more technical critique, others will chime in to let you know what they think.
This is a good forum with some great insight from people with years of photography experience
