First Time Pics

I just bought my DSLR 2 days ago and started taking pictures with it. It is a Canon Digital Rebel XT. I am fairly new to this scene so please let me know your opinions. One thing i wanted to also ask is if the images are sharp. All pictures were taken in manual mode, not touched up, and are straight from the camera in JPEG format.
