Default A fre recent pics...

Here are some recent pics I shot that I like - not composed, just captured spur of the moment.

Spur of the moment - not too recent, but I looked up from the bench I was sitting on and happened to have the camera on. Asheboro Zoo.

Again, sitting on a bench, I just snapped this... Napa Valley, at the Mumm winery I believe.

Trying locations for the wedding reception - NC Museum of Art's restaurant.

First night in Prague - dinner under the Charles Bridge.

Breakfast at 120 days in Prague - fresh squeezed OJ!

The Prague Citadel.

My last night in Prague - after an evening rain.

The Bridge of the Women in Buenos Aires - got lucky with the light.

Great pics.

A few comments:

I really like the Homer pic. Good composition (rule of thirds). Nice color (black, white, gray, and bright red). I like that Homer is clearly the subject, but then you can also look at all the magazine covers if you want to. I would be tempted to straighten out the vertical lines with the Lens Correction tool, though.

I like the street light pic ... a lot. Excellent minimalist composition.

I like the colors in the OJ pic. The napkin in the background is a nice compositional element. I might have preferred the straw stay in focus. Not sure though.

On the girl with umbrella pic, I would be interested to see a version cropped closer to her head on the top and cropping out most of the foliage on the left.

As an art photography afficionado I'm digging the traffic light photo. I like it for it's simplicity and composition.
