NO

original is below. Just messing around and showing that hdr is not needed to make a pic look like it.

looks like an overcooked tone map where you just cranked the highlight and shadow sliders

nice, coming from someone who does a lot of HDR. i was surprised that wasnt an HDR image.

No it's not, and I know exactly how you did it as well. Actually easy to do in Adobe's own RAW converter.

HDR doesn't NEED to look fake, although sometimes, when used CORRECTLY, I think the effect is kind of cool.

No raw converter used here. PS3 yes but not raw.

I think HDR kinda lost its original purpose. Now it's just used to make the extreme look.
