Default Headshot

I took a headshot of my wife while she was playing sudoku on psp.

1/60, ISO 200, 55mm f/4, aperture priority, off camera flash thru umbrella from camera left above. I can't remember if I used CLS or Pocket wizard...might have been CLS since it wasn't overexposed shooting at ISO 200 and 1/60. anyways..C&C would be appreciated.

thanks

Looks good, can't really think of anything to critique on except, it might look a little better if you didn't crop off her face on the bottom of photo.

hmm now that you mention it...yea, I think it could use more cropping on the upper right side and shift the image to expose more chin area.

thanks

Hmmm....Love the "artistry" of it.....but not sure if the crop works for me. I *think* it would look better if you didn't cut off her forehead/chin. However, I dig the high key look.

face looks weird with 1/8 of it cut off, otherwise it would be a great shot

Cropping the forehead was intentional...however, I didn't pay attention to the chin and lower area. I should have, but I was distracted with cropping the forehead. thanks for pointing that out.

I like the feel of it.

The small portion of hair looks odd in the upper right with that crop.

I seem to be alone in this corner, but to me it's overexposed. My monitor is NOT calibrated, and I don't always see things the same way as everyone else (I tend to like photo's a little darker than most people) but there's quite a bit of her face that IMO has no detail whatsoever, and personally that's distracting. The crop I can deal with no problem, the uber brightness, I cannot.

Otherwise, I dig it.
