Default help!

so i inherited a canon 20D from a friend for free being that it was his third camera. i dont know anythign about photography yet but want to get started. he said the camera is pretty out of date but still should be a good starting point for me.. any feed back?

just go out and start shooting everything.

play with all the manual modes.

thats pretty much it.

i dont know much about cameras as well, all i do is take pics

so is a 20D pretty historic? i looked it up, and looks like they were released in 2004!?

The 20D is a fine camera, a lot of shooters i know still have these in there bag as backups. Take it out shoot with it. You can learn a lot from using that camera. Enjoy it.

20D is a nice starter camera.

Look for the books "Digital Photography Book Vol 1 and 2" by Scott Kelby. Those will get you started for sure.
