Default How much gear

Well, there's a thread asking what everyone's gear is, but what do you guys normally carry around? say you're gonna talk a walk in central park, or go to the mall, maybe stop at the pier; what do you carry with you?

Sorry for the newbie questions.

It depends what I'm shooting, but my most-used kit consists of a Canon 5D with the 24-105IS L lens.

For a walk-around I have a 30mm prime & a wide angle lens on a cropped body.

well,
if i leave my bag for some reason with ALL my stuff, I'll just carry my 20D, grip, and 24-70 2.8L

I have a point and shoot, but frustrated at it's simplicity

Nikon D50
- 50mm F/1.8
- 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6
- 70-300 F/4-5.6
- (2) extra batteries
- (1) extra 1gb SD card
- Polarizer and UV Filters
- Lens Cleaner
- Velbon Tripod (always in car)

This is what I normally just carry around lol. I always like to be prepared, and my bag is about the size of a messenger bag.. just beefier.

Canon XTi
17-55 (main) or 10-22 or 50mm (never more than one lens for walk-a-round)
or
Canon S70

Travel Shoot
Depends on what I am shooting, but never more than 2 lens and a flash

Digital:
Canon XT
50mm 1.8 (this is all I have so far!)

Film:
Minolta X-700
50mm prime
200mm prime

I never carry both cameras. 1 is enough.

Lately? In my shoulder bag I fit a D70s, 18-70 kit lens, 12-24 Tokina, SB800 flash, polarizer, Lens Pen, microfiber cloth, spare CF card or two, small grey card. Sometimes my Bogen 3021Pro tripod on a separate shoulder strap.

Longer lenses are just too heavy or crappy (I hate my lightweight 70-200). I have a photo backpack with just about all my gear for deep woods hikes on on-site industrial work but the darn thing must weigh 30 lbs!

I carry all of my equipment. But that usually isn't much, which is only two standard lenses and a flash. Cars and photography can be very expensive hobbies.

I carry nothing.. I have a small child, who works for candy and water, carry it all for me. Unless it's raining, then they hold an umbrella wherever I go.
