Lightsphere..

Do you use one? Recommend? Not worth it? I've been thinking about purchasing one and was wondering if anyone here had experience using one..

I think it is rediculously priced but it should do its job. I used Lumiquest and Nikon flash modifiers. I see real benefits even with just the small frosted "hat" that comes with my SB-800. It just burns me to see that price for some custom Tupperware, lol.

I am not a fan and honestly try working a crowded room with a tupperware bowl on your camera.

As others have pointed out, you can make your own homebrew solution that will work roughly as well, but it'll look pretty hacked up.

When indoors, I typically find it better just to use an index card or bounce off a wall, but when you're outside with nothing to bounce off of, these much maligned modifiers get the job done admirably. They may be overpriced, but they don't depreciate much if you try to sell it in the future.

Im quite a fan of the lightspheres. Gotta admit it looks questionable but it gets the job done.
