Default Looking for a flash -

Looking for a flash for my d80, however i think im interested in a certain flash but i cant find them online nor do i know the term for the flash.

ive seen some photographers have this flash that was more of a enclosed plastic clear funnel at the top of the flash (where the light would shoot out). i dont know if this is an added on piece or the actual flash is built like this.

can anyone help me figure this out....

most likely its an SB-600, SB-800 or SB-900 with a flash diffuser, check into gary fong's whale tail, it's pretty awesome

my school's photography department had some laying around that i tried out. didn't really like them any more or less than just a sto-fen diffuser.

then again i really only use a diffuser when there's no ceiling to bounce off. also, though i haven't started using the flash for other than party pics and stuff like that so don't take my word for much.

I've been using the Lumiquest line for many years (www.lumiquest.com). Good stuff. I find I use their 80-20 and bounce (love the metalic inserts) the most.

the diffusers work nice for fill lighting, i recently realized that u need your flash and a diffuser if u want to take pictures of a light color car + dark color rims, without the flash + diffuser, u end up with nearly no detail on the rims.
