More Panning Practice
I went to Giants Stadium again to practice some panning. I dropped the shutter down to 1/30th. I like this speed a lot as it provides more blur. Maybe next time I'll try out 1/15th & see if the cars stay sharp. Here are 2 pics. I have to edit the rest. Comments & criticisms on how to improve is greatly appreciated!!
NB Roadster

Too bad I didn't get the rear of the M on the frame. Grr!! I need more practice!!

Depends on how far and fast the object is, 1/30 is the slowest I have ever tried. Good job.

Nice Clyde!
Will you be going again next weekend?

Now you're making me want to shoot an autoX at a stupid slow shutter speed. It almost looks like an effect has been added at first glance, but not - very cool
Are you using an IS lens? If not, see if you can borrow one for another autoX shoot and put it on mode 2. I bet you get more keepers.

Hey Clyde, are you bursting or just one by one?
Here's another that I just finished editing.
Im not an expert in this, and this could be totally wrong (Im sure Norm will correct me, as he knows the proper way) but shots like the m3 for instance....if you burst (if you get the hang of it,) you are almost guaranteed a center frame shot. Start when the hood hits the left portion of the viewfinder, and burst 4-5 shots. Should make proper results. Thats how sports photogs do it anyway.
