Exactly, you have shared nothing but snapshots here. Food needs to be looked at creatively from both the chefs vision to the photographers vision.

In your shots above there is nothing to make the food attractive, your compositions do nothing to make the food attractive. Next time out first try to isolate your food from the cooktop,table etc.

In your first shot I cant even distinguish what is food and what is anything else, well not that bad but i do hope you understand what I am saying. Your second photo is the only one where you somewhat accomplish this.

The shot below is an example of isolating your subject and presenting it in a manner that someone would wish they had it in front of them to eat it.

Damn, tough crowds over here. Did I mention that this is a " Amature random shot of mine "? I aint doing nothing different from anyone else thats posting their photos. Hopefully one day I can be a skilled photographer as you Dave Gagne . Anyways carry on, lmao.

I aint even mad, lol. zzziippyyy good some good points and I will think about it the next time I take a picture of food or anything. It's all good
