Thumbs up Need Help

Hey guys,

I recently purchased a Nikon D60 with the 18-55 mm VR lens and bought an additional 55-200 mm lens to add to my new found hobby.

Unforuntely, I am not that good yet as I haven't much time to shoot.

So in short, I need to take some quality photographs of my car as I am planning on selling it. I have a black 2002 Honda Civic SiR and am wondering if there is any preferred settings that would help in shooting my car.

I have taken previous pictures but most of them glare a lot, or would my best bet be to get a photo editing program that will allow we do reduce this problem...

Any tips & tricks from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Those are pretty wide open questions, try auto mode and shoot with the sun to your back..

black is tough. try messing around with iso and aperture priority on a wide range. flash off. tripod if needed.

dont mess with the iso especially on a black car! Just set your iso at 100 or 200..I would suggest shooting in P mode with no flash and just pay attention to the details, shoot late in the day and with the sun at your back. Avoid any objects in the background that will look like they are comming out of the car. ..that writeup has good info so read up on there..but to be honest it just takes time.
