Default New Camera, First attempt....

Just bought my wife a DSLR camera in an attempt to get her into a hobby. I however took the camera today to try my hand at some picture taking. Here's what I got. No tri-pod, just the basic lense, and some fooling around with the camera settings.

Comments, tips, etc. welcome. still learning the in's and out's of a DSLR camera.

Some pretty cool shots in there. I think you set the ISO too high, reason for the grainy pictures. I'd bump that down, and play with the shutter speed next time.

p.s. Love that first shot

when i changed the setting to whatever the "scenery" setting was it put the iso on auto. Took all the pics of the GPW in that setting. The others were on manual everything. Looks like all the pics except for the GPW ones game out non-grainy. maybe lighting wasnt correct for the scenery setting.

Those are some great shots, you have an eye for photography

PS If she doesn't have a hobby by now she's probably not a "hobby" type of person, good luck.
