My brother and i went out last night and took a few pics of the Denver City and County building as well as some of his car. C&C welcome... its my first shoot with this or any SLR camera... all pics taken with 10-22 and Rebel XTI

the standard must do boring shot


then a few seeing what the wide angle is about

Since this isn't the gallery....

a)Whitebalance is way off, especially on the car shots.
b)They are soft.

Not a flame, more of a critique so you can watch out more next time.

thanks thats exactly what i was hoping for i'm really new to this camera thing any criticism is helpful... how do i adjust white balance... photoshop or is it something i can do while taking the picture?

Shoot in RAW...that way, you can adjust when you import the file to your computer.

Also, stay away from those "ricer" angles when shooting cars. They completely distort the lines of the car. When you shoot wide, try to ACCENT the lines, rather than distort them. Don't worry, practice, and you'll get it.

However, although it's a bit soft, I like the first photo very much.
