Default PTGUI any one here use it?

In my latest Pop Photo mag I was reading on Ben Federick's globe photos. After reading the article I realized I too can do this! So I checked the mags recomended software Ptgui. When I visited there web site it looked simple enough to do. And then of course PS to globe the image. So I am excited to give this a try I think this weekend I will order the key

I've seen those shots before and always liked them. I'm curious to hear about your results.....unless those are your results. If so, how do you setup the shots?

No those are not my pics.

The latest issue of Popular Photography is where I got the idea. It is simple enough, mount your camera to a tripod, and make sure its level. Then take photos 360* make sure to overlap your shots (he takes about 12 or so) Use PTGUI to stitch em (it does all the work for you). Then use CS3 to globe it

The hard part though is coming up with $700 for CS3

There are other ways to get CS3.
