"Set In Stone" Set....
Went to Rhode Island for a day to show some family friends around, and had some fun shooting. As I've been there before many times, I wanted to find something new, that I haven't shot before. These might not be to everyone's liking, but I found them rather interesting. All these photos were shot with a collection of lenses, so they all got a healthy workout. Anywho, hope you enjoy em, as always, comments, and constructive criticism welcome!
This little guy was on the end of a bench railing...shot with a Tamron 17-50mm.

Bench that was right out front of "The Breakers" mansion. Shot with a Canon 70-200mm 2.8IS

This was a swirl at the end of the perimeter fence around The Breakers. Shot with a Canon 70-200mm 2.8IS

I found this old man statue to have an interesting look to it. The natural grain, which almost looks like film grain, made it a cool shot.

Some repeating terrace columns that I found interesting.

This was an endpiece of another bench. The craftsmanship is truly amazing...

A little in your face work...

This is truly one of my favorite photos that I shot. It has a very Mona Lisa feel to it...in terms of looks....she can look happy, sad, in thought, etc....

Finally...a little macro work....this sculpture was actually about 3" large. It was a "stamp" on a bench at the Marble House, another mansion in Newport. I thought it was a pretty cool subject.

Yup...forgot my tripod at home, AND it was overcast as hell. Thank god for 2.8. I wasn't really worried about the 70-200mm shots, as that lens has IS, but I was worried about the Siggy 150mm....however, I was pleased that they came out very crisp. Thanks for the positives!!!
