Default Versions of Elements and CS3

All,

I've historically used Elements 4 for most of my RAW conversions and post processing. I previously found the extra bulk of CS2 not worth the hassle as Elements did just about everything I thought I needed.

I am getting my hands on Elements 6 shortly. I also have a chance to pick up CS3, either the Design Production or Premium Production versions. I'm not sure I'll actually use them BTW.

Both of those versions come with PS3 Extended and Illustrator, but then add on some other components into the suite.

Does anyone have a recommendation for normal use? I'm not sure any of the extra tools do me any good, and I haven't researched what they actually do. (InDesign, AfterEffects, Soundbooth, Encore, etc...)

Thanx for the input.

Get the lowest end package and you should be fine for photography and design. InDesign is for print/layout/pre-press, After Effects is for motion graphics, etc)

I use Adobe Premium Design CS3 because of Dreamweaver and Flash. It also comes with PS Extended, InDesign, Acrobat, and Illustrator. I had the Web CS2 suite before along with Macromedia Studio MX. I think Adobe custom made the latest package for me

What do you want to do?

Why get Lightroom when you can have a CS3 suite?
