Where to buy?
Hi all...
My question is a little more specific than the title may suggest. I'm planning on buying a D300 before the end of the year. I know bhphotovideo is an awesome place to shop, and I drool every time I start surfing the site. However, Ritz Camera is big here, and they offer an all-encompassing protection plan. This includes if I happen to drop the body in a river while kayaking, they will replace it. I don't think the warranty at B&H includes this sort of damage.
The other drawback with the Ritz warranty is the cost. You can get up to a 5 year warranty, but it's wicked expensive. It's almost 2/3 the cost of the body to pay for the plan.
I guess my question is should I just go with the least expensive reputable place I can find to buy the camera and forget about the protection plans, or are the plans worth investing in?
Thanks in advance for everyone's input

Ah, true. Also included with a Ritz purchase is a photo printer, and "lessons" or something like that. Maybe free prints and an album as well. I don't think B&H has that included with a purchase either.
How many years did you buy their plan for, yarbrough?
