Default Worth it on my end?

I'm trying to upgrade to the D700, but don't have the funds to get it right now.. but really want it..

I have the D90 with mb-d80 grip on it and I was thinking about trading the D90 + one of these lenses/pair for it..

#1- 14-24 2.8
#2- 35 1.4
#3- 16-35VR + 105VR but need $200.

Would it be worth it on my end?
It seems like a pretty equal trade..

What'd you guys think?

Imo.....I'd say sell the d90 and the lenses to fund the d700 if you must have own. The d700 is full frame so unless your lenses will work with full frame then your going to have lenses to sell anyway. I find it hard that anyone with d700 will trade for such a lower end camera( not saying d90 is low end but compared to d700...well its def lower). I'd say get d7000, its cheaper and alot of d700 users prefur the d7000. The 7000 will give you high ISO, fast shutter, 6fps, and amazing quality not to mention DUEL SD card slots. You can have each card work for different purposes, very nice feature to have. These are my opinions of course, but I'd think before spending 2500$ when 1200$ gets you more. Good luck, tough decision.

I wouldn't trade any of those lenses if I were you. They are all top notch and will work very nicely on a full frame camera...especially that 14-24 that you have.

If anything, save a bit more money and sell off the D90 and pick up a 2nd hand D700.

While the D7000 is a nice camera, it's not in the same league as the D700. I'm sorry, with all it's nice features, it's still a APS-C camera.

Hope I didn't come off too rude. I just figured that the OP knew he wanted to make the jump to a full frame camera and this was nikon's offering other than the d3 series. Plus, while the lens that he has will work on a DX format, they really shine on a FX

ditch the 16-35 since you already have the 14-24. only problem is you wont have anything past 35mm.

I have other lenses, it's just those that I think I can part with without being too sad..
I'm not so sure about the 14-24 though

I think the D90 with grip can only fetch me maybe $600..
and the 16-35 maybe $1000
and the 105VR maybe $800

which I figured what a D700 would cost, right around 2200-2400.
