Default Best Place for Alignment

Hey guys, I want to know where is a good place to take my car to get alignment done? I don't care how much they charge I just want them to spend them time to adjust it (I have the TC Design bump steer kit so it can be adjusted) so I can have the specs I want. Usually they charge you like 80 bucks for an alignment and they adjust the stock adjustment bolts and dont touch anything on my bump steer kit and then they tell me thats the best they can do.

Thanks!

A number of guys i autocross with swear by Jim at the Tire Warehouse on 99 ST. Apparently he does a great job and charges reasonable prices. I'm told he will set the suspension up however you like it and won't ask stupid questions or tell you your alignment isn't within factory specs; he will also let you hang out in the workbay with him and watch him work. If these guys are really happy with him i;m sure you'll be satisfied. I'll be bringing him my S this spring for a custom alignment (if the thing ever gets here ).

That's funny...I've been to that Tire Warehouse on 99th Street for work on my rally car and the older beater, and they did exactly that - tell me the specs I wanted were not within factory specs! YMMV I guess.

There's another shop out in the west end that's supposed to be good, but I can't recall the name offhand. I'll try and dig it up from some friends.

Otherwise, and it's been mentioned before for corner weighting, have you thought about Norden? They have experience setting up custom stuff for their Porsche customers, and I understand other guys take their higher end cars there too.

Got it now - Bert's Auto and Tires. 16623A - 111 Ave, 484-1034. A friend with a bunch of sus mods on his frequently autocrossed Subaru 2.5RS used them and was very happy.

(course now he sold the RS and is even more happy because he's studying in Australia....)

Maybe there's more than one guy doing alignments at the Tire warehouse on 99th because that doesn't sound like what i've been told about Jim. As i said before, if the guys who rave about him have been happy, i know he can do what the OP is in need of.

BTW, i autocrossed with Chris (2.5 RS you spoke of) for a few years; in fact we competed in the same class the last two seasons.

Thanks for the recommendation! I've tried Bert's for a few of my other cars and they did good. I'll be sure to talk to the ech and make sure he understands that the specs will jive when you put more than 1 hour into it =]
