I saw a Red S downtown yesterday...it had stock wheels but the center caps were blank (no "H" on them)...is this common?

 

remove the caps remove the clear coat and H with thinners , dry and clear coat with spray bomb, mine turned out nice,

 

...but why?

 

My red S2000 which is downtown every day has caps with the "H" removed...I got them from a friend who owned an S a while back and had a dealer make him up a set. Why? He thought the stock wheels looked better that way...I agree, so I put 'em on.

 

....then it was probably you that I saw on 6th Ave. Lucky me...I was standing on a crowded bus at the time!! I suppose taking the emblems off is much the same thing as those who take the badges off of the car....I hadn't seen the wheels done before.
