Default Cold Starts

As most of you know, I park my car for the winter....I start it up occasionally like it says in the manual but I noticed that my engine will stall immediately after start up if I dont keep the clutch in .....anyone know whats going on???

Partly because the transmission oil is cold and thick and letting the clutch pedal out makes the input shaft spin. Also partly because you have a light flywheel and don't have the rotating inertia to keep it running against slight resistance of the transmission oil.
