Default dry spell

Well, looks like we'll get a nice week of dry and relatively warm weather. The streets are all dry and have this white salty dust on them now

Anyways, just wanted to post since crickets can be heard on the local forum

Yep, and my car is nice and clean again. It had streaks of white down the sides, but now looks good as new.

i think dave is trying to get together a quick meet up...gave the car a quick power wash, i'm still on my original tires and am going to take full advantage of this great driving weather, drove it yesterday with the top down ... too bad i have to bring the car in for service today, the passenger window won't go up

Sure. I want to see how xviper and Former have their winter floor mats set up anyway.
Did you work yesterday xviper? Short drive anyway.
I could see the flames clearly as I was going down 14 St. beside Nose Hill.

No, they've got carpet remnants on top of the floor mats I think.

I've got my "winter" floor mats cut out of a roll of hall runner material that is simply made out of a synthetic fibre - no rubber backing or anything. It just puts down an extra layer of stuff to absorb the winter crud. If you want better protection for your carpets and "good" floor mats, you should get a rubber backed material. I'll probably cut out some new mats this year as they don't last forever. Hall runners and carpet remnants are not very expensive.

PM's will be sent out in the next day or so about getting together later this week.

Oh, my mats are the same in the summer and winter. I have about 3 layers on, my carpet and stock mats will never see the light of day

Great weather I agree....not so great driving a large black truck around. The city is laden with salt covered roads Could be worse I suppose.
I'm all up for the meet. Preferably Saturday night, or perhaps even Friday if it works better for the majority of folk.
Take care
Asif

Talk about dust, this is worse than when it was spring. Ah well, we have a couple more sessions of top down driving. I did that on my way home from work today and got some funny stares
