Dyno Tunning in Calgary?
Well I used to 1/4 mile my car every Friday at Race City, but I don't think it's a good idea since I purchaced an S2000. I acutally have a stack of time slips (3 1/2 inches) that I have ran with my Civic. I've never broke anything major (knock on wood) and this is odd since I run it sometimes at 13-15 psi (50% with C12) with stock internals (13.8s q/m). I would like to establish a baseline / hp test before I proceed with anyting.
I'm afraid of the stories like broken diffs, shift problems, tranny gear breaks. I don't believe the S2000 was designed for drag racing.
So I would like to be a little more scientific about it. Oh dear, maybe i'm just getting old.

What are you looking to do by dyno'ing the car?

Yeah, Reg Reimer. He knows the deal!
Eugeneo - I've run my s2000 at race city (1/4 mile) for only one event. 3 runs. My best was a 14.6x which converted to about 13.7 at sea level that night...
I too, have a stack of 1/4 mile slips a few inches thick, all from my RSX Type S.
The S2000 makes me very uneasy about doing repeated 7,000 - 8,000 rpm clutch drops (I've only ever dropped the clutch 5 times the entire time I owned the car).
Road course racing at Race City is so much more fun!

koala, 14.6x is the same for me. I went down the track three times and realized my shifts were not going to get any better. I didn't want to run the clutch to get an extra 10th so I called it quits. Did you notice the RSX is much more difficult to take down the track? and also to get consistant times?

Yeah the RSX-S was much harder to get consistant times with because you had to deal with trying to feather out the clutch properly, fighting with the massive amounts of wheel-spin. Damn I hate FWD
- the tires were most of the issue though. I'd squeal going into 2nd, and then chirp into 3rd... people thought the RSX was fast because of that, hahaha.
I haven't gone to Race City since July or so... I usually just go down on my own or with my roommate since we seem to always run into a few people we know, plus it seems like you can start talking to just about anyone with an import there... most everyone is in a really good, non-competitive mood... I love it.
I remember running this one guy in his Integra Type R... we must have raced each other 6 times in the one night... half the time I'd win and half the time he'd win.
