Default Edmonton + Speed traps

greetings all.

Been away from the forum for a long time, mainly because I no longer own an S2000. Perhaps someday when the itch comes back I'll be back.

I was in Edmonton a couple of weekends ago and I notice more and more (and more indeed) speed traps around the Anthony Henday. Luckily
I brought along my V1 and I must say this gizmo must have saved me $$$ (or maybe not).
My question is How do they expect to enforce those citation with cars that have out of state plates? In my case California plates.
I was rockin my E55 for a whole week and I must say I didn't see any AMGs at all. Perhaps it was just bad timing and I was in the wrong neighborhood.
I got a lot of thumbs up when driving in and around downtown & south side - maybe it's because I was the only AMG around with a Thule travel box on the roof.

I got a parking ticket in Vancouver once, but I just ignored it. What would they have done, not allow me to register my car? Probably if I drove that car again there and got another ticket, I'd have been in trouble, but I've since sold the car.

There are two AMGs are my house....one of course doesn't work, but that's another story altogether! There are definitely lots of C63s around, but you gotta remember, this isn't California where AMGs (and Range Rovers and Bentleys and and and and....) grow on trees!

Thanks. I'll probably ignore it if something comes in the mail then. hah!
I thought about PM'ing you but due to big family we're out almost everyday.
In the San Jose, Silicon valley & peninsula, AMGs and Black Series (and other European exotics as well as Japanese ones) are probably dime a dozen, but not where I live (east bay).
