To everyone who didn't vote

Oh goodie. I'm bitching every step of the next 4 years.
I'm amazed how so many people are so keen on getting screwed by the same guys for another 4 years. This just told them Liberals that it's OK to do another sponsorship deal 'cause we'll forgive them again. I would prefer giving someone else a turn to screw me.

So I guess I'm not the only one who feels a real strong sense of disappointment with last night's results. What made me the most disappointed is that the Conservatives received 8% less of the popular vote than they did last time as two separate parties. People on a whole voted more far left wing than before. Amazing. I sure hope we aren't turning into a hands-out society. Hell, the Green Party got official party status!! They could be in the nationally televised debates next time around! Unbelievable.

Absolutely sick !! We get robbed and raped for 10 years and what... Ontario opens the door again . What are they thinking ??? I thought Harper had a solid platform (far from perfect) and deserved a shot. But no, here we go again with the corrupt Liberals. I could go on and on but will leave it at that. Watch out for another referendum in Quebec as well. Here's to another 4 years of utter BS.

We live in the heart of Conservative country so I can understand some of the strong opinions about the Liberals and NDP. We must remember much of the rest of Canada is NOT like Alberta. Many people don't trust the Reform/Conservative party yet...let's face it, there are a lot of unknowns about the party's agenda...and Klein didn't help much with his comments re: Health Care reform. I think the election results were good for the country as a whole...the opposition parties should keep the Liberals honest this time around.
BTW, what is the percentage of the Sponsoship scandal monies wrt to the entire Federal government expenditures? There will be waste and dishonesty in any administration....some of us may be too young to remember the Mulroney years!

These are not your father's Tories. The Reform/Alliance swallowed them up. Mulroney was an egotistical ass that had no interest in fiscal reponsibility or public accountability.
