I take it most folks have put their cars away for the season? I haven't seen many S2ks on the road for a few weeks now.
Mine was forced a few weeks early, unfortunately, by some clutch issues after a trackday at Stratotech on 1 October. Boo. Thankfully it was in October and not May, I guess. Still haven't figured it out, but it seems like something is hanging up on the inside, can't disengage with the pedal. Already replaced half the hydraulics, but no time to figure it out and now the car is just sitting on my patio waiting for spring.
Since then I have tried to figure out the engine swap in my old Benz, but there is something 'up' with that too, and I am in the process of reverting to the old engine. BOO. And this past weekend I went out and bought another car instead, an '05 C55 AMG. A couple quick pix on the drive back from Calgary, where I bought the car:

Nice buy, this time of the year is sad. This is the last week that I will be driving her, snow is coming...
haha this is the first year that i wasn't happy it was going to snow. Oh well time to hit the mountains.

Yeah, I am loving the C55 so far! Very nice ride, and lots of fun when the loud pedal is depressed....
A previous owner had deleted the secondary cats and resonator, so it's louder, but not obtrusively so. Quite pleasant I think. iPod connection is great too, I just wish I had Bluetooth but I'm making do with an off the shelf speakerbox for now. Full integration is going to run me at least $800. A very cool thing is the paint. Hard to see in the photos, but in the metal, up close or in the sunlight, the paint is blue, but the rest of the time, it looks black. Benz calls the colour 'diamond black'. I call it awesome.
Mandatory S2k content - likely in the spring I will swap in Science of Speed's sport clutch package, and going back to the stock AP1 flywheel. The Fidanza aluminum flywheel I have in there is apparently only 7.5 lbs. SOS says their 'race' flywheel is 8 lbs, and their 'street' lightened flywheel is 11 lbs, while the stock AP1 is 14 lbs, and stock AP2 is 22 lbs or something like that. I think going back to stock will make it a bit easier to drive, and promote longer clutch life too.

I switched over to my winter wheel/tire setup on Saturday. The only thing I haven't done yet is throw a sandbag or two in the trunk but other than that, I'm pretty much ready to go. I may pull the front lip off to save it from the hazards of winter. The rest of the front end/hood/mirrors have 3M on them so they should survive pretty well. The lip was added afterwards so it doesn't have 3M on it. It also takes away an inch of clearance on the front end, which I may need...

damn lucky, wish i could still drive in the winter, unfortunately its not a matter of if i can its just i dont want too lol. I saw the same black s2k yesterday at the exact same area by the mcdonalds just off 109st and 63ave when i was omw to badminton at the UofA and leaving haha.
Waiting for a set of OEM lugnuts to come in, to replace the factory set I'm pretty sure I threw in with the boxes that went with my Datsun 510 when I sold it. Yes, I'm an idiot.
Then I'm back on the road until I get the Talon that I bought for a winter car running again.
