104,500 km

Question -- how did you like the exhaust? Any drone on the highway that bothered you?

Wow! I think it had something like 80k KM's when I sold it almost 4 years ago.

I loved the exhaust. It had a deep sound unlike most of the fart-can exhausts I hear around town. No droning issues that I recall. I actually bought that exhaust used from xviper. I loved how it sounded on his car.

Can you PM me the price you paid? Just to satisfy my curiosity.

edit: nevermind the PM. Is that option only available to members?

Yep -- Jo and I decided that we wanted another S2000. Let's hope this one lasts longer

Anyone out in the deep freeze in their S? How well does the soft top retain heat?

The cabin is small and the heater is intense -- I was never cold in my S2K. I had an '01 and it even kept the rear window clear without having an electric defroster.

I'm out and about but I have a hardtop. The car warms up just fine - my biggest concern is actually getting the transmission and rear end warmed up quickly. This morning, my shifter was very sluggish and hard to move when I got in the car to start it. The clutch pedal stuck at the depressed position for a few seconds. The rear end takes a few rotations to really get properly lubricated as well. I do have a block heater so that helps a ton - the car starts without any issues at all - but you have to keep the defrost on to keep the windows clear as they will frost up pretty quickly inside if you don't.

One thing I will say about the S2000 - it warms up faster than any car I've owned (VW Golf, Acura 1.6 EL, two Honda Accords, Civic and F-150). I think having a high-compression motor that "runs hot" and a small cabin means that it's never tough to warm up. My wife's 2008 Civic takes twice as long (or longer) to get up to temperature.
